DNC War Room to be run by Clinton Rapid Response Director (Really???)

One of the issues the party will need to face is how to deal with incompetence in DC.

I was not a Clinton supporter, but I do think she was badly served by her campaign.  The tales of the incompetence have become abundant since the Election.

Hillary did her job in large part: her campaign did not.

So when I read the headline about the creation of a DNC War Room my first reaction was to look for who will be running it.  Sure enough, it is the guy who ran the Clinton rapid response team.

This is a serious problem for Democrats.  We have a group in DC that moves job from job with little to no accountability.

That needs to stop.  In now way shape or form do I think the Clinton campaign really figured out how to effectively respond to Trump.  The idea any sane person would want the DIRECTOR of that campaign’s rapid response team to lead a new operation at the DNC is ludicrous. Can you imagine the reaction in Trump land?  Do you think this scares them in any way?

At some point there needs to be accountability within the permanent consultant class.

Because there is a definition for having the same people do the same thing and expect a different result.

The Democratic National Committee is building a "war room" to battle President-elect Donald Trump, pressure the new Republican administration on a variety of policy matters and train a spotlight on Russia's alleged cyberattacks to influence the 2016 election.

The DNC's new communications and research operation, to be staffed by former aides to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, will be one of several efforts from across the Democratic firmament to take on Trump, including the office of Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.), the Center for American Progress and American Bridge.

The DNC has hired John Neffinger, a longtime operative who runs the Franklin Forum, to serve as interim communications director and oversee the national party's operation. He will be joined by two Clinton veterans who spent the campaign focused on Trump -- researching his background, monitoring his statements and trying to drive negative media coverage of his candidacy. Zac Petkanas, the Clinton campaign's rapid-response director, will serve as a senior adviser to the DNC and direct the Trump war room, while Adrienne Watson, a Clinton campaign spokeswoman, will serve as the DNC's national press secretary.
