Hillary ducks XL-Pipeline issue: says wait until 2017

At a town meeting in NH, Hillary ducks the XL-Pipeline issue.

Hillary is the overwhelming favorite.  Perhaps the only was she can lose the nomination is if people come to see her as so calculating that they conclude they can't trust her.  If you know primary history, you know her answer reeks of "front runner-itis".  I have seen this before - a front runner has a huge lead and essentially they play not to lose.

This is a mistake.  This issue isn't, by itself, going to cost her the nomination.  But if her response feeds a larger perception, it could.

In my experience NH and Iowa voters HATE answers like the one she gave her.  It is a mistake: on policy and it misjudges the reaction of both primary and general election voters.

Hillary Clinton wants to wait until she wins the White House before taking a stand on the controversial Keystone XL pipeline.

At a town hall in New Hampshire on Tuesday, Clinton responded to a question from the audience asking if she would sign a bill approving the pipeline by saying that she would not "second guess" President Obama's decision. Should the issue still be alive in January 2017, however, then Clinton will say what her position is.

"If it's undecided when I become president, I will answer your question," Clinton said.

Bleh.
