One of the most often repeated arguments is about electability.   Frequently some vague reference is made to McGovern.  But the data is REALLY clear: Sanders is at this moment a better candidate than Clinton is against Trump.  And it isn’t really a close argument.

The data is consistent across pollsters, and across regions  Doesn’t matter if it is in the South of the Midwest.

I don’t think the reason is all that big of a mystery.  Bernie is taking on the establishment.  He has made an issue out of Wall Street, and of the failure to hold people accountable for the Crisis that cost thousands their job.

By contrast, Clinton is very much an establishment figure.  And this is reflected in her approval ratings.

There will be those who argue that Clinton has been subject to right wing attacks for decades, and Sanders hasn’t been vetted yet.  There is some truth to that.  But in politics it is hard to reverse unfavorable opinions. In any case Clinton has weaknesses that have not been exposed by the GOP yet.
