NH Dems supported Single Payer 63-32

About 3 weeks ago I wrote a diary about Single Payer, noting that 81% of Democrats supported it.

Since that time the Clinton campaign has launched attacks on the issue.  I came to see why they were doing in part (Des Moines is the home to many insurance companies), but I still was puzzled.

Well, the good people running the exit poll yesterday decided to ask two questions that are very revealing:

From NH Exit Poll

The attacks failed to persuade, though the support is lower than the 81% found in the poll I cited. Still, this is after making Single Payer a pretty big part of the campaign.

Another question, though, gets to the heart of the problem for Clinton.  People are suspicious that she means what she says about income inequality.

The importance is obvious: on two issues of importance to the Democratic Base, Clinton is for many Democrats out of step with the Party.

Rather than attacking Bernie, I would suggest her campaign address the concerns Democrats have about her values, and whether they are the same as rank and file Democrats.
